'Roots of Empathy' school program could be expanded to include seniors
There's a wonderful, heart-touching program currently going on in neighbourhood schools in Metro Moncton. It's called "Roots of Empathy." The classroom-based initiative teaches students about babies and how they react to the world through the hands-on interaction and observation of the youngster and his or her parent or parents.
Donations for heating initiative accepted until Jan. 16
"The weather outside is cold enough; no one should have to be cold in their home as well," said Glen Dormody of a new initiative aimed at helping area residents stay warm.
